July 16, 2000 Note: This is my best guess, a few stories in the anthologies which could not be pinned down are flagged with a question mark. Also, this file was created for this website and was never posted on a newsgroup. Dec 23, 2000 Note: The webscription of the first half of the 3rd Harrington anthology, Changer of Worlds, is up; it named all the stories (and gave a brief description), thus those stories have been added to the list. Feb 4, 2001 Note: The webscription of three quarters of the CoW contained the entire text of "From the Highlands," which appears to introduce continuity problems. Apr 10, 2001 Note: Revised comments on continuity problems for "FtH". Nov 22, 2001 Note: Revised the final note slightly. Feb 2, 2003 Note: Updated for War of Honor, add notes on promised 2003 releases, some necessary changes in the "From the Highlands" comment, terminal note completely revised. Nov 13, 2005 Note: Updated for both The Shadow of Saganami and At All Costs

"The Stray" by Linda Evans (WoH)
"What Price Dreams" (WoH)
"Ms. Midshipwoman Harrington" (CoW)
"Queen's Gambit" by Jane Lindskold (WoH)
"Promised Land"? (might occur shortly after the next) by Jane Lindskold (SoS)
"The Hard Way Home" (WoH)
On Basilisk Station
"With One Stone" by Timothy Zahn (SoS)
The Honor of the Queen
The Short Victorious War
Field of Dishonor
"Deck Load Strike"? (might also be contemporaneous with tSVW) by Roland Green (WoH)
"A Grand Tour"? (might also occur after AoV) by David Drake (MtH)
Flag in Exile
"A Ship Called Francis" by John Ringo and Victor Mitchell (SoS) (Feb 2, 2003 Note: might take place after the start of HAE)
Honor Among Enemies
"A Whiff of Grapeshot" by S. M. Stirling (MtH)
"Changer of Worlds" ? (might occur immediately before "Whiff...") (CoW)
In Enemy Hands
Echoes of Honor
"Let's Go to Prague" by John Ringo (SoS) (Feb 2, 2003 Note: Mostly takes place during EoH, though the end occurs after the start of AoV)
Ashes of Victory
"From the Highlands" by Eric Flint (CoW) (Apr 10, 2001 Note: This has to take place after "Nightfall" to avoid conflicting with the plot of AoV, though that introduces possible conflicts with the chapter 33 of AoV. It also appears to take place before news of "Nightfall" reached Earth, however, this causes extraordinary problems with the timing of the Cromarty assassignation. Essentially, a 1 week trip from Earth to Manticore via the Beowolf wormhole has to take several months.) Dec 1, 2002 Note: In War of Honor comes a reference to Cathy's detour, one so long that perhaps "From the Highlands" actually takes place before "Nightfall".
"Nightfall" (CoW) (this fills in the gap between chapters 33 and 36 of AoV - originally was to be written by S. M. Stirling)
"Fanatic" by Eric Flint (SoS) Dec 1, 2002 Note: Has the young SS idealist from "From the Highlands" (Possible problems with continuity, IMHO, in that it is post McQueen coup attempt, but pre-truce).
"The Service of the Sword" (SoS) Dec 1, 2002 Note: Abrigal Hearns's first ship assignment, appears to take place just before the start of War of Honor.
War of Honor
Crown of Slaves (forthcoming with Eric Flint) Feb 2, 2003 Note: From comments I have seen, this is contemperous with the middle part of War of Honor. It is a sequel to "From the Highlands" and the "Fanatic" (and has a tie in with "The Service of the Sword").
The Shadow of Saganami (1st in Saganami Island subsequence starring Honor's students), contemperous with At All Costs
At All Costs

Dec 1, 2002 Note: this note replaces a discussion of the future of the series beyond Ashes of Victory. With War of Honor, Weber has restarted the war with BOTH sides feeling that they are in the right. This cycle could get rather intense. Also, it is my impression (see my comments for More Than Honor) that this 2nd phase of the war will have additional participants not yet active (possibly including a large fraction of the Solarian League). Nov 13, 2005 Note: Mesa has come out of the shadows and is determined to keep the SKM-Haven war going, no matter what.
